Explore 40 years of iron ore shipping history and climb aboard the William A. Irvin. This unique ship showcased many new technologies of the time, but along-side its’ advanced 2,000 horsepower turbine engine and it’s 14,000 ton carrying capacity it also hid a gentler, kinder side. On many trips, the ship would carry dignitaries and guests in comfort and elegance. Affordable guided tours available, or if you’re here in October, be sure to try out the Haunted Tours!
