It’s time again for the official start of summer in Duluth!  Grandma’s Marathon happens this weekend, June 21.  Something fun you can do is sign up to get updates on your favorite runners throughout the race.  Events begin on Thursday with the Race Expo at the DECC.  The William A. Irvin 5K and famed spaghetti dinner happen Friday evening.  Saturday is the day with the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon and Grandma’s.  Of course, missing this year is a former Grandma’s Marathon Champion, Wesly Ngetich, who was killed in Kenya earlier this year.  Donations are being accepted throughout Grandma’s to help his family and others in his Kenyan homeland.
