Grandma’s Marathon Goes Digital

Grandma’s Marathon enters the digital age with online registration beginning today. Registration for the 26.2 mile course from Two Harbors to Duluth, MN is limited to 9,500 people. This year’s race is June 21, 2008. Online registration may also be used for the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon and the William A. Irving 5K run, but not until February or March.

Study Looking For Runners Participating in a 2008 Marathon
Researchers at The University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business are conducting a study on the relationship between marathon performance and satisfaction. We are looking for anyone participating in the following Grandma’s Marathon 2008 (Duluth, MN).
Participants will complete 2-3 online surveys, each taking 10 minutes or less to complete. The first survey will take place approximately 5 to 2 weeks prior to the marathon, with the final survey taking place after the marathons.
All participants will be entered into a random drawing for prizes including an 8 GB iPod Nano, a Garmin Forerunner 205 GPS watch, and a Bose SoundDock Digital Sound System.
