I like the suggestion about the ore boat tour. We vacation in your neck of the woods quite often.

I bet it was rather hard to decide which activities were the top ten. The Skyline Park might be a good choice too!

Regarding #1: We took a harbor tour up there a few years ago. I am not certain if it was the same outfit. There was no lunch or dinner, but we still thought it was great.

By the way, I like your site and would like to incorporate your local search engine idea into my Minneapolis real estate site.

But I can't find your contact information, so I am leaving this message here.

We're glad you like the application Kermit. What's interesting about DuluthGuide is that businesses who post content gain prominence throughout the site just by posting. The site was created for a client of ours. I've emailed you information regarding DuluthGuide's owner/operator.

Posting Has Benefits
The most recent post from any business (subcategory) is placed on the middle of the associated parent category page (like "hotels" or restaurants) AND the homepage, AND the most recent posts list on every page, etc... Businesses are rewarded for posting.

These types of content managements structures drive traffic. We know their viral. We know they can create buzz and drive blogs, social communities, and attain good organic rankings. We expect that businesses will "game" the site to get on the homepage as soon as they figure it out. I would...

Search Engine Profile
The search engine is tuned to crawl combinations of internal listings, external websites (to whatever depth we specify) and database content. The mashup with social media is based on rigs by the cream of SEM/SEO bloggers. Videos, either internally or externally hosted like on youTube) and podcasts play right in each post.

2 major analytics packages directly associate PPC with conversion revenue tracking. I think it's a great fit for real estate. We'll send you an email with information regarding the team that created DuluthGuide. A social media release to communities like StumbleUpon can be orchestrated from within each post as is common in the blog world. The site accepts pingbacks and trackbacks and is plugged into the blog and blog feed search engines.

There are lots of things to do in Duluth for boys and girls of all ages including visiting the Lake Superior Zoo, Great Lakes Aquarium, ride the Vista Fleet boat tours, walk the Lakewalk, collect agates along the shores of Lake Superior, enjoy Park Point beaches, ride the many bicycle trails, hike through our various forests along marked trails, and so much more.
